Melica

DESCRIPTION: This ornamental grass grows up to 2 feet high and wide. Its broad, linear, green leaves are arching and hairy. In the summer, thin spikes of tiny, dark mauve flowers are produced.

POTTING: This Grass needs well-drained soil in a sunny spot.

PROPAGATION: Division may be done in the spring.

VARIETIES: M. altissima variety atropurpurea.
