KIRENGESHOMA (Kirengesho'ma)
DESCRIPTION: This perennial is a native of Japan. It grows up to 3 feet high and has large, papery, palmate leaves that are bright green and hairy. In late summer and fall, narrow, funnel-shaped flowers having fleshy, pale yellow petals are borne in slender-stalked clusters in the upper leaf axils. It is a lovely plant for an herbaceous or mixed border, or woodland garden.
POTTING: Grow this plant in moist, humus rich soil in partial shade.
PROPAGATION: Seeds may be sown, or they may be divided in the fall or spring.
VARIETIES: K. palmata.
