HEUCHERELLA (Heucherel'la)

DESCRIPTION: These perennials are hybrids of Heuchera and Tiarella. H. tiarelloides forms thick carpets of rounded, lobed, mid-green leaves with serrated and scalloped margins. In early summer, long sprays of tiny, bell-shaped, pink flowers are produced. H. alba 'Bridget Bloom' produces tiny pale rose-pink flowers in long-stemmed sprays intermittently from early summer to fall. These plants grow up to 18 inches high.

POTTING: Grow these plants in moist, well-drained soil, in sun or partial shade.

PROPAGATION: These plants may be divided in the spring or fall. Only the outer, young portions of the crown should be replanted.

VARIETIES: H. tiarelloides; H. alba 'Bridget Bloom'.
