Hakenochloa
DESCRIPTION: This ornamental grass grows up to 16 inches high with a spread from 18 to 24 inches. It forms mounds of linear, arching, bright yellow leaves, which are narrowly lined with cream and green. The leaves take on a red hue in the fall. In late summer, tiny, reddish flowers are borne in small, airy heads.
POTTING: Grow this Grass in a partially shaded or sunny location in moist, but well-drained soil.
PROPAGATION: This plant can be divided in the spring.
VARIETIES: H. macra 'Aureola'.
