Cyathodes

DESCRIPTION: This group consists of about fifteen tender, evergreen shrubs from New Zealand and Australia. C. colensoi is a small, low-growing shrub with attractive, slender, glaucous leaves. In the spring, miniature, pitcher-shaped, white flowers are produced; these are followed by red or white fruits.

POTTING: Cyathodes can be grown outdoors in mild climates only. These shrubs need soil that is free of lime, in a sheltered location. They are excellent for growing in a rock garden.
