Chondrosum - Blue Grama, Mosquito Grass

DESCRIPTION: This is a grass grown for ornament. It is commonly called Blue grama and Mosquito Grass. This grass forms tufts of narrow, linear, dark gray-green leaves. In the summer, tiny, purple-brown flowers grow in little spikes. It grows up to 20 inches high and spreads about 8 inches.

POTTING: This Grass can live in ordinary soil, in a position in full sun. It must have good drainage.

PROPAGATION: You can increase this Grass by dividing it in the spring or by sowing seed as the same time of year.

VARIETIES: C. gracile.
