CHIVES
A hardy perennial onion-like, found wild in Europe, Asia and in North America. They have slender dark green, hollow leaves, 6-9 inches high. The flower stems just top the leaves with a pale purple blooms in summer.
PROPAGATION Seed is sown in the spring out of doors. The plants are left in the seed rows until the following spring when they are planted in their permanent spot.
