Arctotheca - Cape Dandelion

DESCRIPTION: A. calendula, the Cape Dandelion, is originally from South Africa and is naturalized in central Portugal and southwestern Spain. The Cape Dandelion forms mounds of medium to dark green, divided or whole leaves, which are roughly hairy above and white downy beneath. The flowers resemble Daisies and are produced from late spring to fall. They have yellow ray florets and a darker center.

POTTING: This tender perennial needs a minimum temperature of 41ยบ F. In cool climates it should be grown as a house or greenhouse plant. They may be grown outdoors in climates where there is no danger of frost. Set them in a sunny position.

PROPAGATION: Increase your plants by dividing them or by sowing seeds.
