Alopecurus - Golden Foxtail
DESCRIPTION: A. pratensis aureovariegatus, Golden Foxtail, is a tuft forming, ornamental grass that grows 12 inches high and wide. The leaves are flat and linear. They are yellowish-green striped and edged with gold. The flowers are compact, pale green spikes that are borne during the summer.
POTTING: Grasses can be grown in any well-drained soil and will thrive in full sun.
PROPAGATION: Sow seeds in the fall or divide clumps in the fall or spring.
VARIETIES: A. pratensis aureovariegatus; A. pratensis aureomarginatus.
