Garden Pest and Plant Disease Listing - TH

THRIPS: These are very tiny, quick-moving insects that scrap fruit, leaf and flower tissue and feed on the resulting plant juices. Thrips cause new growth and flower buds to be deformed and fruit to be scarred. These pests are particularly pesky on Gladiolus and Roses. They are a favorite food of many predaceous insects but can also be controlled with insecticidal soaps, botanicals, and traditional insecticides.
