PRAYING MANTIS: A voracious feeding insect that eats many types of insects, both pests and beneficials. It has limited value as a beneficial insect, although its egg casings are sold as such in nurseries and through the mail.
PREDATORY MITES: Several species of beneficial insects used to control spider mites and thrips. They are harmless to plants and sold through the mail.
PROPOXUR: A broad-spectrum insecticide (trade name: Baygon) used against many household pests and some garden pests, including earwigs.
