Garden Pest and Plant Disease Listing - FR
FRUIT FLY: This tiny fly lays its eggs on many types of fruit, such as apples, citrus, cherries, and walnuts. The larvae bore into the ripe fruit, disfiguring or causing rotting. There are many types, including ones that can devastate agricultural crops. Sanitation, sticky traps, and properly timed sprays of traditional insecticides are the best methods of control. Small red balls coated with sticky material can be effective traps in apple trees.
