Garden Pest and Plant Disease Listing - CO

COLD DAMAGE: This happens when the plants are exposed to low temperatures for too long a time. The stem tips may be killed, they might scar, or the entire stem may collapse. The affected portion is then subject to rot. If this happens, increase the temperature so that dead tissue can dry out, or cut off all the dead parts.

CORKY SCAB: These brown, bark-like scabs often form near the base of a stem and are the result of past disease damage or poor cultivation. These spots shouldn't be confused with the natural corking on very old plants. If growing conditions are improved, the spots shouldn't reappear.
