ERICACEOUS: Applied to acid potting mix with a pH of 6.5 or less. It is usually used for plants that cannot tolerate lime.
ERICETAL: Composed of or containing heaths.
ERODIBLE: A term used to describe a soil that is vulnerable to erosion.
EROSE: Having an irregularly jagged margin, as if gnawed; applied to a leaf or other plant part.
EROSION: The wearing away of the land through the action of moving water, wind, or other geological agents.
EROSIVE: Used to describe water that has enough force to cause erosion.
