Botanical Words Alphabetical List - AT
ATTAR: A general term used for a perfume from flowers. In Europe, it denotes only the attar of roses, an essential oil. It takes 150 pounds of roses to provide less than an ounce of attar. The fragrance is too strong when it is concentrated and must be diluted to smell nice.
ATTENUATE: Tapering gradually to a narrow point.
ATYPICAL: Having no distinct typical character; not typical; not conformable to the type.
